Surrounded by native bushland and unhindered wildlife, Burrandowan Race Track is in the picturesque, tranquil area of 'Chahpingah' in the beautiful South Burnett region.  It is approx 67km NW of the closest regional town, the peanut capital of Australia, Kingaroy.

 

FROM SUNSHINE COAST / BRISBANE - NORTHSIDE (3 - 3.5 hrs)

Take the D'Aguilar Highway from Caboolture,  driving through towns such as Kilcoy, Blackbutt, Yarraman & Nanango, arriving into Kingaroy

FROM GOLD COAST / BRISBANE - WEST & SOUTHSIDE (3.5 - 4hrs)

Take the Brisbane Valley Highway via Esk.

 

FROM TOOWOOMBA (2.5hrs)

Head west to Dalby, through Jandowae, Durong and turn right on Burrandowan Road.

 

FROM KINGAROY (50mins)

Take the Bunya Highway South and turn right at the Kingaroy Golf Club.

There is loads of signage erected in the days preceding the Race Day ... so just follow the signs!

Where do I go: leaves Glendon Street bus station, opposite South Burnett Regional Council offices & Kingaroy Town Hall

 

How much will it cost me: $20p/p one way or $40 p/p return

 

How do I pay: Kingaroy shuttle tickets can be booked & paid through Pursers Coaches or can be purchased on the day at the bus stop.  As seats on the buses are limited and will be on a first in basis it's recommended you choose the pre-book option.

 

Are we there yet: travel time on the bus is approx one hour.

 

Can we consume a roadie: No Alcohol Is Permitted On The Bus - you'll have plenty of time for a drink or two once you arrive!
